Proudly Coloured Comedy comes to the Lyric Theatre

Proudly Coloured Comedy returns to the stage. The production will be showcased for the first time live at the Lyric Theatre at Gold Reef City on April 11 and 12 at 8pm.
This is a proudly and unapologetic comedy from a uniquely Coloured perspective, offering humorous insights into what being Coloured in South Africa means, plus a whole lot more. Proudly Coloured Comedy will feature the talents of Shimmy Isaacs (Worcester); Neil Green (DBN); Dillan Oliphant (JHB); Justin Ray (CPT); Virgil Prins (JHB); Magic Man (JHB) plus a special guest appearance by Deep Fried Man (JHB).
Mindful of the sometimes foul-mouthed antics of comedians, Proudly Coloured Comedy is a no-swearing show, making it accessible for the entire family to enjoy.

The comedians:
The award-winning Deep Fried Man is a musical comedian blending music and comedy into his own quirky and sometimes controversial brand of satire.
Fresh-faced Dillan Oliphant has grown from a novice to making waves in the comic scene nationally in a few short years. His stage presence and dead-pan-one liners make his awkwardly clever jokes accessible to everyone.
Justin Ray started his first comedy rounds on the local Cape Town comedy scene. Ray’s sense of humour has been described as “weird and wonderful.”
Magic Man has charmed audiences with his humorous wit and a compelling and interactive display of mystical illusion.
Popular Durban comedian Neil Green has been a regular on the comedy scene for several years. He readily admits that his brand of stand-up comedy is abstract, but his aim is change audience perspectives on race.
The popular Shimmy Isaacs strives to deliver a unique and proudly South African product with each show.
Virgil Prins has his sights set on seeking to amuse the masses.
