The Two Oceans Aquarium will be abuzz with activities for the upcoming school holidays. From guided tours and magic shows to arts and crafts and feeding of the animals, most everyone will find something interesting and entertaining to do at the Aquarium.
Daily activities for the holidays and Easter weekend include the very popular AfriSam Children’s Play Centre. The Centre caters for energetic little ones with special activities including puppet shows and arts and crafts.
The Aquarium will also be offering free face painting, temporary tattoos and meet and greets with the Aquarium mascots. Feeding of the penguins and fish are daily highlights. Guided tours of the Aquarium will take place, twice a day, from March 31 to April 4. The Aquarium has magic shows scheduled for various Wednesdays and Saturdays during the school holidays and Easter period. Visit www.aquarium.co.za for a complete schedule and specific times.
The Aquarium’s Solemates membership programme offers its members unlimited visits to the Aquarium for an entire year. It also has other benefits such as members-only events and discounts at the Aquarium shop and Shoreline Café.
For perfect diving conditions year-round, book your dive at the Two Oceans Aquarium and dive either with the sharks in the I&J Predator Exhibit or the shoals of fish in the Ocean Basket Kelp Forest Exhibit. Divers need to have a minimum of an OpenWater 1 qualification, but a special course can be arranged for those who are not qualified and want to take the plunge.
The Two Oceans Aquarium is currently busy with the construction of a large-scale exhibit. During the construction the Aquarium will operate as normal. Opening hours remain 9.30m to 6pm, seven days a week.
