Music Exchange, South Africa’s premier music, film and entertainment programme will return to Cape Town City Hall for the fourth time between March 7 and 8.
Music industry legends, movers and shakers and global music industry players are set to make their mark at this year’s event. Attendees can expect to encounter the likes of Trevor Jones, Auriol Hayes, RJ Benjamin, AKA, Vicky Samson, Sipho “Hotstix” Mabuse Mozambique’s Moreira Chonguica. For those who are serious about a creative career, Music Exchange 2014 is a vital experience.
Topics as diverse as “The South African Music Industry Today”, “Idols South Africa”, “Mashlab” and “Is Radio Still Relevant” will be discussed at the conference.
International film composer Dr Trevor Jones will make his return to Music Exchange, and this year the District Six born and raised music maker will once again share his more than four decades worth of knowledge with delegates.
Music industry stalwart Benjy Mudie also returns to Music Exchange, as will 5fm DJs John Savage and Rob Vember, each promising to share and connect with people as passionate about the business of music as they are. The radio panel will feature all the major compliers from all the major stations in the Western Cape under one roof.
Publishers will also be represented at the conference with two of the most influential in South Africa, in Tshola Moraba ,Head of Gallo Publishing; and John Fishlock attending the 48 hour event.
