This weekend the Mother City is going red, blue, yellow, pink, orange, green. What am I talking about? Well there are so many colour events happening, and I will be attending all of them (yes, I am a colourful social butterfly.) So what are all these events that I am talking about?

A colour run with Colour Me Crazy
The Colour Me Crazy 5km Run will be bringing a kaleidoscope of colour, energy, dancing and music all in one massive event on Saturday October 26 from 9am at the West Coast Ostrich. The fun starts at 11am with a 5km run with blasts of red, yellow, green, blue and pink coloured powder at each kilometre and leads to a massive music festival at the end, with the line-up including Goodluck, Locnvile, Roger Goode, Dean Fuel, Mixi, iScream & the Chocolate Stix with Stehpanie B as your M.C. More details can be found on www.colourmecrazy.co.za.

Going pink for the BlackBerry Pink Polo and The Market at Val de Vie
Val de Vie Estate will be hosting the fourth BlackBerry Pink Polo on Saturday October 26. This is a great family event with plenty of live entertainment that serves as the official kick-off for the polo season and aims to create awareness for Breast Cancer.
Held annually, the event is one not to be missed on the Cape Town and South African calendar. Enjoy food and drinks from the fresh food and beverage entrepreneurs while watching the action packed polo match and enjoying the funky sounds of some of the best local talent. Bring your picnic basket, find a spot beside the polo field and enjoy the action-packed match. For more information, visit www.valdevie.co.za.

Blue Saturday
Let’s go Blue on Saturday afternoon at DHL Newlands as Western Province take on the Sharks in the final match of The Absa Curry Cup. I will be watching the game at Newlands on Saturday.
It doesn’t matter where you watch the game, wear blue in support of our boys.
I’m looking forward to seeing all of you this colourful weekend, so be sure to follow my updates on Twitter @liezelv.
