Westcoast Village is celebrate a milestone in October with the Centre turning 10 years old. Nestled in the budding areas of Sunningdale, also soon to be linked directly with the N7 via Sandown Road, the Centre has become an integral part of the local community and is regarded by some as being the gateway to the picturesque and blooming expanse of the West Coast. Since opening in October 2003 and upgraded and revamped in 2006, the community Centre has changed the face of retail in the Sunningdale area, which has seen remarkable growth.
“We are very proud of what we have achieved so far. Our aim now is to focus on making the most of the next decade,” says Kim Gibson, Group Chief Financial Officer for Garden Cities and Landlord of West Coast Village.
“Ten years on the Centre looks amazingly fresh and contemporary. The strong, natural design and evolving tenant mix to meet shopper expectations will see us continuing to provide the community with a modern, stylish and convenient shopping experience.”
Since its opening day, West Coast Village has been popular with shoppers. The variety and quality of stores, many of which were first introduced to the region, the convenient opening hours and free parking were a first in Sunningdale at the time.
As traditional promotions are important to shoppers in the area, the Centre lives up to its all-inclusive promise of local loyalty by hosting and arranging relevant community events and promotions at the Centre.
Festive colours and décor during the birthday month will aim to get shoppers in the mood for the birthday celebrations.
From kids’ activities and crafts, balloon artists, live radio outside broadcasts and tenant promotions and special offers, there will be plenty of activities to delight and excite shoppers.
