There’s a new lifestyle and entertainment television presence in Cape Town. 48hOURS TV, which started out as a YouTube channel, can now be found on Cape Town TV’S DStv channel 263 with one of SA’s best loved celebs Liezel van der Westhuizen as presenter. Nicole Biondi is a new face on the small screen and will co-present the programme.
RaniComm, the company behind the Next 48hOURS weekly entertainment newspaper, has expanded operations to give locals that little bit extra. Like the newspaper, the TV show will feature the biggest and most celebrated names and events in the South African entertainment industry.
In addition to featuring artists and movers and shakers from every corner of the showbiz world, 48hOURS TV will have a distinctly and proudly local flavour, with a specific focus on the hidden gems that exist right under most people’s noses and that might not always get media attention.
Cape businesses and individuals are encouraged to contribute ideas to make this show a success. The producers are looking for that special event, restaurant or person that reflects the Cape lifestyle.
“We are keen to give new talent an opportunity to work with our team and this new media platform presents some exciting opportunities for young people who are keen to get into the broadcast media industry,” says Naushad Khan, Executive Producer of 48Hours TV.
So tune in to CTV or DSTV 263 every Thursday at 7pm to catch up with what’s making the waves in the entertainment world and stay in tune with the best Cape Town has to offer. The Next 48hOURS show will also be repeated on Saturday evenings at 6.30pm and on Monday mornings at 8am.
