On Saturday night its time again for the annual Glamour Aid. Glamour Aid is an initiative that started in 2006 by Brigitte Willers as a platform for celebrities and public personalities to give back to their community via various initiatives, and Joan-Anne Harris joined her in 2012.

This year you can rub shoulders with the elite among South African celebrities.
The Charity Dinner and Art Auction will be held on Saturday August 24 at The Bay Hotel, Camps Bay (Rotunda Ball Room), and the proceeds of the Charity Dinner and Art Auction will be donated to the following charities:

• The Chaeli Campaign: “Hope in Motion”. The Chaeli Campaign’s Vision is to promote and provide the mobility and educational needs of disabled children under the age of eighteen years, throughout South Africa, and to use its facilities and resources to assist the disabled community in any way it can.

• Make A Difference Charity: “Leaders of Tomorrow, need our Leadership Today”. MAD Charity has aimed, since its inception in 2003, to make a difference in the lives of disadvantaged, academically talented young South Africans by creating exceptional educational and related opportunities. Join Francois Pienaar and his circle of friends in this initiative because the leaders of tomorrow need our leadership today.

In addition, 12 prominent celebrities will be photographed to be part of a prestigious 2014 Celebrity Calendar. Glamour Aid strives to embark on different challenges to make a difference and assist in promoting a better South Africa for all. One lucky guest will stand a chance to win a precious diamond in the “Diamond Champagne Pyramid” when purchasing a glass of bubbly. This is part of the fund raising campaign on the evening and is sponsored by Uwe Koetter Jewellers.

Arno Carstens, one of South Africa’s leading artists, will entertain guests. Vocalist Lee Rath will welcome guests, while Carol Thorns, SA’s leading electric cellist, will perform in the Cellosphere. Renowned magician and mentalist, Larry Soffer, will enthral guests with his mind-bending illusions. Cindy Nell-Roberts, ex Miss SA, model and TV presenter will be the Masters of Ceremonies on the evening. Ariella Kuper, auctioneer extraordinaire, will handle the exciting Art Auction.

There are still tickets available  at R1 000 per person – including a delicious three course meal, champers on arrival and some excellent wines.
