Moms and kids are invited to treat dad to a delectable Father’s Day feast at the Vineyard Hotel & Spa this Father’s Day. The hotel’s popular restaurant, The Square Restaurant, is offering a tempting three-course lunch menu to spoil local dads on Sunday June 16.
Executive chef Alex Docherty has developed a range of dishes tailor-made to suit dad’s taste buds, commencing with a choice of two starters: a pea and ham soup with soda bread and salsa verde butter, or traditional fish cakes with tartar sauce, watercress and fresh lemon.
For mains, the menu moves on to either a celebrated roast fillet of Chalmar beef with Yorkshire pudding, roast potatoes, fine beans, cherry tomato and baby onion sauté covered in stout gravy, or grilled line fish with prawn ravioli, olives, spring onions and tomatoes with a smoked salmon cream sauce.
The experience culminates in a dessert offering of either chocolate sponge pudding with baked milk chocolate mousse cake and homemade vanilla ice cream, or a hazelnut cheese cake with strawberry ripple ice cream and white chocolate ganache. All dads will also receive a goodie bag as a keepsake of the special day.
* The Father’s Day menu costs R255 per person and space is limited. To reserve your table, call 021 657 4500, or send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
