Make it a Father’s Day to remember at GrandWest

The world seems heavy on your shoulders juggling family and work life. You may don a suit in the boardroom but at home you are the handy man, law enforcer, a play-time buddy, round the clock creepy crawly patrol and everything in between. Your wide eyed, toothless toddler may grow up into an independent adult – but they still look up to you in adoration and call you the best dad ever.
GrandWest will be celebrating that dad with an array of exciting activities from 12pm to 5pm on Sunday June 16. Grease monkeys can look forward to a day sponsored by Victory Motorcycles – with a fabulous prize on offer.

Ladies can find out if the way to a man’s heart is truly through his stomach by treating dad to a spread of sublime dishes – made available by the fine restaurants on complex. Dads, you can let your lips lose on a journey to India with top class Indian cuisine from Bukhara, or go Oriental with Asian cuisine from Beijing Orchid,or stop at Bella Gina for an authentic Italian experience. While you are at it, catch a wave to the Cape Town Fish Market and try the freshest display of delicacies, or enjoy a good old steak from Squires Grill and Chophouse or maybe Silver Dollar Spur, if that’s more your taste. Quarterdeck Restaurant will be offering their tasty buffet accompanied by welcome drinks on arrival. Another treat awaits at Golden Anchor with a three course plated carvery offer at R89 per person.

Work off that full belly with activities like go-karting, ice skating and ten pin bowling, then capture the memory of the day at the photo booths. And finally, unwind with a free head and neck massage by Relax Spa, or escape to the smooth sounds of Sade and Friends, who will be performing at Jackson Hall. Spend more than R50 and you will stand the chance to win a dinner for two at the Quarterdeck Restaurant and make that Father’s Day even more special.
