Erotically charged new Broadway play comes to Theatre On The Bay

Pieter Toerien and KickstArt are showcasing the sizzling hot new Broadway play ‘Venus in Fur’ by David Ives at Theatre On The Bay until June 22. Starring Janna Ramos-Violante and Neil Coppen, ‘Venus in Fur’ is the sexiest, funniest, most acclaimed new Broadway play of the season.
Written by theatrical mastermind David Ives and directed by Steven Stead, ‘Venus in Fur’ introduces the audience to Vanda (Ramos-Violante), an unusually talented young actress determined to land the lead in gifted but demanding playwright/director Thomas’ (Coppen) new play based on the classic erotic novel, ‘Venus in Fur’.

Vanda’s emotionally charged audition for Thomas becomes an electrifying game of cat and mouse that blurs the lines between fantasy and reality, seduction and power, love and sex.
Director Roman Polanski shot a film version of the play in French in late 2012. The film stars Polanski’s wife Emmanuelle Seigner and Mathieu Amalric, and recently competed for the Palme d’Or at the 2013 Cannes Film Festival.
