Kidz Season kicks off at The Cableway

Table Mountain Cableway wants everyone to enjoy one of the New 7 Wonders of Nature, and this winter locals can do just that with the Cableway’s annual Kidz Season special that started on May 1.

Cold winter days in the Cape don’t need to be spent indoors this year. Why not treat your children to an adventure that will take them 1067 metres above sea level where they can explore one of the most diverse floral kingdoms in the world?

Until Thursday October 31 two kids under 18 years ride for free when an adult return ticket is purchased on weekends, public holidays and the June and September school holidays.
Tickets include a treasure hunt map that will ensure families make the most of their time on top of the mountain. The outing is full of fun and will see kids being given a ‘sweet surprise’ from the Shop at the Top, as well as a Dassie biscuit from the Café.

The Café will also run a Kidz Season Café Special for those who want some food to keep their energy levels high. This special includes a Kiddies Dassie or Vienna Pizza, flavoured milk and a chocolate brownie-on-a-stick for only R35 per child.

The Cableway’s Kidz Season price is R205 per adult return ticket (valid until September 30) and includes two children under 18 years travelling free (normal child rate R100) when purchased from the ticket office on weekends, public holidays and during the school holidays. Valid on return fares only.

Families can also take advantage of the City Sightseeing 3 for 1 Kids Special, where on weekends, public and school holidays, two kids under the age of 18 can travel for free on the City Sightseeing bus or Canal Cruise boat with any full paying adult. So if you are on the Red City Tour, you can hop off at bus stop 13 at Table Mountain and make use of both the Cableway and City Sightseeing specials.
