Cape Town audiences are in for a treat when ‘Tap Dogs’, a show that is part theatre, part dance and part rock concert, opens at Artscape on March 13 for sixteen shows only, ending on March 24.
Tap Dogs returned to South Africa at the Teatro at Montecasino, Johannesburg on February 12 to positive reviews, nightly standing ovations and loud cheers from audiences who enthusiastically welcomed the “dogs” back to local shores.
Enthusiasm and a love of the unique ‘Tap Dogs’ style brings this pulsating dance machine back for their fourth SA tour and audiences still appear as if they can’t get enough of the 80 minutes of non-stop toe-tapping precision and talent that creatively combines the strength and power of workmen on a construction site together with a captivating mix of dance, music and performance.
In addition to the macho line-up, ‘Tap Dogs’ now has two female percussionists, joining the testosterone fuelled action on stage.
The adrenalin pumped cast injects raw power and passion to present the ultimate visual dance spectacular. Upside down or even on water the Tap Dogs bring the entire space alive with their mix of dance, music and performance.
The tapping feet of this internationally acclaimed dance sensation has reverberated around the world in 330 cities; in 37 countries and has been seen by more than 12 million people.
