Skrillex in Cape Town

Cape Town Holi One Colour Festival
The world’s largest outdoor electronica colour festival launches in South Africa.  Hosted in one of the city’s most beautiful public spaces, the colour carnival invites festival-goers to unite in their love for music, dance and performance art, and to groove the day away as hourly bursts of brightly coloured clouds descend on the historic CBD square.

Feast of The Grape

The Cape Town Bike Show
Two wheel it like Grease Lightning to this family-friendly bike-filled fun fest in Kommetjie.
This fun-filled event is also a great way to give back to the community, as every cent of proceeds goes to help fund the charities of Living Way and Living Grace, bodies that form a part of the Living Hope Ministry in Kommetjie.  In light of the festival’s not-for-profit roots and the ideals for which one of the charities stands for, there will be no alcohol served at the event. Additionally, the day will be called “One Sober Sunday” in memory of those who have lost their lives to addiction and in solidarity with those who are still struggling with vice.

Constantia Fresh Wine Festival

Community Chest Carnival
Treat the little ones to a fun-filled day of family-friendly entertainment in Cape Town.  At this year’s celebration, there will be something for everyone: for the littlest ones there will be clowns, balloon sculpting, face painting and the jumping castle at the Parmalat Kiddies Village, teens can look forward to an under-18 party and adults and pensioners can anticipate sampling traditional fare from no less than nine different countries.

Cape Town Gay Pride
Happening in the sunny streets of Cape Town, the pink calendar highlight includes a fantastic collection of parties, parades and protests scattered across a two-week period.  While the line-up may be both vast and varied – it includes everything from drag shows in Green Point to seminars in Langa – one thing remains consistent: each event encourages not only LGBTIQ folks, but also straight allies, to partake in the fun.
