UK bluesman brings his sound to Kalk Bay Theatre

Acclaimed UK blues singer and guitarist Matt Woosey will be performing for a few nights only at Kalk Bay Theatre from until February 17.
During the last eight years, Woosey has toured the UK and Europe non-stop, cementing his reputation as one of the hardest working musicians around. Woosey is a young contemporary blues artist from the West Midlands, UK, who combines an explosive slap-and-pick right hand guitar technique with big-range blues vocals.

Following his success at the world famous Ronnie Scott’s Club in London, Matt was interviewed by Sky News and appeared on TV in the Netherlands. He has played some of the largest blues festivals in Belgium, France and Holland.2013 will see Woosey embark on his first world tour taking in Europe again as well as South Africa and the USA for two months in the summer.

Supporting the likes of Gerry Macavoy, Mark Flannigan  and Jan Akkerman, Woosey has steadily built up a following and has recently launched his new band album ‘On the Waggon’. At the Kalk Bay Theatre shows, Woosey will be performing solo and will  play material spanning his first five albums, as well as the new album.
