All things good and wholesome at The Life.Style & Eco Fair

After almost 16 years of existence, the last monthly Life.Style & Eco Fair (originally the Obs Holistic Lifestyle Fair) will take place from 10am to 4pm on Sunday December 2, whereafter the event will become a quarterly festival from February 2013.
Cape Town’s original, longest-running and biggest regular showcase of lifestyle, health, wellness and eco-oriented exhibitors, the Life.Style & Eco Fair will be happening at the Gardens Commercial High School – Paddock Avenue, off Hatfield Street in the City Bowl, Cape Town.

As usual the Fair will offer visitors a chance to discover a great range of lifestyle, health, wellness and eco-oriented exhibitors and activities. Relax within the lush, tranquil indoor/outdoor setting of the venue; meet friends for a wholesome meal or drink; browse through the many informative and creative stalls; and bring your family to enjoy the nearby museums and the Company’s Garden with its many natural attractions (remember to bring peanuts for the squirrels!)

An extra companion event happening this Sunday is the unique Waste2Art Market that will also be taking place (free) in the adjacent Parliament Avenue section of the Company’s Garden.
Here a variety of vendors will sell their creations composed of recycled, upcycled and repurposed waste materials.

Other highlights for visitors to the Fair this weekend are free topical documentaries, and a free Tai Chi session at 11am in the Paddocks area next to the Fair’s venue.
The next exciting phase of the Fair’s life will start on Sunday February 24 next year, when the event becomes a less frequent, but a larger, more intensively-focused quarterly mind, body, spirit festival featuring a dynamic line-up of exhibitors; speakers and workshops; films, performances and displays.

That means visitors craving all things good, wholesome and healthy will still be able to get their regular dose of healthy living and discover a wide range of ‘esoteric’ as well as more mainstream contemporary health, wellness and environmental issues, services, products and topics.
