The Cape Town Festival of Beer, the largest festival of beer in South Africa, is finally here. Already in its third year, the Festival will be taking place this weekend on November 23, 24 and 25 of at Hamilton’s Rugby Club.

Cape Town’s Festival of Beer is a celebration of brewing heritage and passion from around the world. Featuring over 50 local and international breweries and up to 150 brands; this is the premier celebration of all things beer.

The Festival is SA’s largest annual gathering of beer enthusiasts, connoisseurs and those just wanting to learn more about beer. The weekend, which is regarded as a highlight on the Cape Town entertainment calendar, promises great entertainment for the whole family including a variety of beer and food, music, rugby, as well as a kiddies play area.

This year the Cape Town Festival of Beer will be bringing visitors guided beer tours with experts to ensure they get the most out of the experience. Let your guide take you around while you meet the brewers and sample a variety of beers, watch home brewing demonstrations and participate in blind tastings. And if that’s not enough there will also be beer judging, workshops, a beer pong tournament, Beerlympics and the Carling Black Label Taste Challenge!

For those who prefer less kick in their drink, Santam will be providing a selection of alcohol-free designated driver drinks. Santam will also be offering a limited amount of complimentary taxi rides and driver assist vehicles at the festival to ensure convenience and safety for everyone.
