Bafunny Bafunny reassemble in pursuit of Olympic gold

When they won the World Cup of Funny in 2010, they united a nation through laughter, strengthened international ties with their groundbreaking performance at the Royal Albert Hall and broke all comedy records with their subsequent Victory Tour. In 2011 they defended their title during “The Odd Shaped Ball” Games and became South Africa’s Comedy Heroes.
Now, the Bafunny Bafunny team, featuring some of SA’s funniest stand-up comedians, is gearing up for their biggest challenge to date… going for Gold at the 2012 Olympics of Funny with their aptly named ‘Rings of Fire’ Tour.

With a burning desire and a nation’s support behind them, the Bafunny team will bring the torch to Cape Town from November 2 to 4 at Artscape.
The team to carry SA’s hopes for gold include the likes of David Kau, Kagiso Lediga, David Kibuuka, Chris Forrest, Mpho Popps, Nik Rabinowitz, Loyiso Gola, Tats Nkonzo, Deep Fried Man and of course Olympic Host, Mark Banks.
The show is another production created by comedy specialists Hunta Live.
