It’s time again for the highly acclaimed Tygerberg Children’s Choir’s very popular annual Christmas concerts.
The choir has, as usual, compiled a varied programme which will appeal to young and old. This year’s concert is entitled ‘Light’ and promises once again to be a spectacle of beautiful music and lighting.
Audiences can look forward to seasonal favourites such as ‘Christmastime’, ‘O Holy Night’, the ‘Brahms Ave Maria’, ‘Deck the Hall’ and ‘Silent Night’. The concerts will feature Madri Gerber (violin and soprano) and Annatjie Brand (organ).
The choir has been under the baton of internationally respected conductor Hendrik D. Loock since its inception, with Theresa Loock as accompanist and arranger.
The concerts will take place in the Endler Hall, University of Stellenbosch, on the following dates and times:
- Sunday 11 November at 3pm
- Sunday 18 November at 3pm
- Saturday 24 November at 8pm
There will be an additional concert at Rhebokskloof Wine Estate, Paarl on Sunday November 25 at 7pm. Gates open at 5pm. Picnic baskets are welcome, and can also be ordered from the estate. Food and beverages will be on sale. No BYO. (Visit www.rhebokskloof.co.za for details.)
* Tickets cost R90 (R70 for students and scholars) for the Endler concerts and R130 (R80 for children and scholars) for the Rhebokskloof concert.
