Outdoor enthusiasts, ready yourselves for the 17th annual Cape Outdoor Eco Adventure and Travel Expo. The event will run over a three day period from Friday to Sunday October 26 to 28 on Sandringham Farm, it’s newly found home for 2012. Over the three day period the event is expected to welcome 19000 visitors.
Visitors to the Expo will be able to find everything from tents, gadgets and trailers to beautiful local destinations, exotic resorts and the most exciting adventure products and activities available in Southern Africa. Sandringham Farm offers a true and fantastic outdoor venue for both exhibits and activities. The Expo will also showcase Wildlife, Conservation, and eco-friendly products and services.
4×4 enthusiasts will be able to feast their eyes on a wide variety of 4×4 vehicles from Ssangyong, Suzuki, Chery, Foton, Mahindra, Land Rover, VW, Toyota, MG, Tata and Daihatsu – experience some of these vehicles on the Mc Carthy 4×4 off road track especially developed for the show.
Family entertainment at its best will also be on offer with Tuxedo performing live on the Harley Gig Rig just one of the attractions. Other highlights will include Winelands Horse Trails, Winelands Quad Bike Trails, a Free Fall Tower, water paddle pool, SA Bungee being in attendance, paintball, jumping castles and a Cimbing Wall. Dogs on leads are welcome to join their owners. A Fun Doggy Walk will take place on Sunday morning in aid of Animal Welfare.
A special Craft Beer Tent set up by The Craft Beer Project will also be on offer with a wide range of all local craft beers. The tent will feature “Beer 101”, a short introductory talk and tasting on all things beer – what’s in it, how it’s made and more on how to appreciate the amber nectar. This along with wine tastings will make sure visitors have plenty to choose from in the beverage department.
Food for all tastes can be found both in the main marquee or around the grounds. Vendors will include Sauls Burgers, Blowfish, Shwama Express, Nestle ice cream, La Pizzeria, Biltong Boer, Chipstix, Obikwa wine marquee, Lime bar Café, ZA organic coffee, Killimi cheeses, Olyvenbosch olives and oils, Sweet Temptation delights, Wicked waffles, Just Nuts and West Chowles pancakes.

Directions to Sandringham Farm: off the N1, at the R304 Stellenbosch turn towards the Stellenbosch direction, then first road right into Sandringham Rd at Frankie’s Café.
