After the incredible success of the ‘80’s Rewind Festival’ earlier this year in Durban, music fans with nostalgia for the 1980s can look forward to some more of the acts that lit up that decade. Since the 20000-strong Durban crowd partied to the best 80s show this country has ever seen, the public has been screaming for a follow-up event.
There will be two follow-up dates for 2012, set for October 31 at the Grand Arena at GrandWest Casino in Cape Town, and November 3 at Supersport Park Centurion in Gauteng.
The ‘80’s Rewind Festival’ held annually in London is the biggest 80s festival in the world. Local fans can look forward to seven top international artists that will play over 40 hits that are sure to have audiences singing and dancing along to some of the best hits of two decades ago.
The official line-up will include the likes of Rick Astley, Human League (Centurion only), Belinda Carlisle, ABC, Nik Kershaw, Tony Hadley from Spandau Ballet and Imagination featuring Leee John.
