Quirky new show tackles climate change

Stand-up artist Mark Sampson will present his new comedy show ‘Africa Clockwise’ at the Masque Theatre in Muizenberg on Sunday September 23 and thereafter from September 26 to 29 at 7.30pm nightly.
The show centres around Sampson’s plans of taking his family on a two year trek in a giant green 10-ton truck around Africa in a clockwise direction. It will explore the subject matter of how African values can show us the way to cope with the challenges facing our planet at the moment.
The Irreverent comedian’s previous show ‘Missing Links’ explored six million years of evolution, while ‘Feels Funny’ tackled depression. Both were sell-out successes at the National Arts Festival in Grahamstown.
Sampson will depart with his family for their trip around Africa in 2013 and the journey is expected to last until 2015. This is his last run of the show before they depart.
