Saul’s Taverna is a cosy Mediterranean piazza restaurant offering Portuguese, Italian and Greek cuisine. It is conveniently situated on Sea Point’s Main Road, almost directly opposite the New Kings Hotel.

“It might be a Mediterranean eatery, but it undoubtedly serves South African-sized portions,” says CEO of The Saul’s Group, Saul Beder. “We believe in dishing up hearty suppers, as opposed to dainty dinners. South Africans like big plates of food and they enjoy meals that will suit their pockets”.

Launched in October 2007, Saul’s Taverna features delicious dishes such as Kudu Espatadas, Lamb Rump, Spathcock Baby Chickens and their unbelievable prawn specials. There is also a fantastic tapas assortment that is presented to your table on a huge wooden tray followed by an extensive menu elegantly combining various cuisines of the Mediterranean.

A well balanced and affordable wine list is on offer. There are also various chef’s specials on offer on a nightly basis. Your host, Jurgen Sheider, will ensure a memorable evening of superb service and great cuisine.
