The Vineyard Hotel & Spa and the Western Cape Rolls Royce Enthusiasts Club are treating fathers to a few of their favourite things this Father’s Day, Sunday June 17.
Members of the Western Cape’s Rolls Royce Enthusiasts Club will display their vintage cars at the entrance of the hotel for viewing on the day. L’Ormarins Wine Estate has also hopped on board to ensure that each dad lunching at the Square Restaurant receives a complimentary voucher for the Franschhoek Motor Museum. Goody bags and lucky draw prizes will round off what is bound to be a memorable day out for fathers and their families.
The Square team have devised a hearty Father’s Day lunch for guests to help sate the appetites they’ve worked up admiring cars. A choice between pea and ham soup or smoked Norwegian salmon on ciabatta will start the meal, followed by a roast fillet of Chalmar beef or baked line fish for mains. Dessert will consist of vanilla cheesecake and caramel fudge ice cream, or a rich chocolate truffle pudding served with Bailey’s ice cream.
On offer will also be a reduced special wine list, which will include L’Ormarins Estate’s acclaimed Anthonij Rupert range of wines.
* The Father’s Day lunch menu costs R255 per person and bookings are essential. Call The Square on 021 657 4500, or send an email to email@example.com.
