The Cape Argus Pick n Pay Tricycle and Junior Tour takes place on 10 March 2012 at the Youngsfield Military Base in Wynberg.
The Tricycle Tour, refreshed by Minute Maid, is aimed at youngsters between the ages of 2 and 6 years and features a 1,5km fun ride – a wonderful introduction for young children to the essentials of cycling, in a safe environment.
The Junior Tour, presented by Spur Steak Ranches, is ideal for youngsters between the ages of 6 and 12 years and offers either a 5km or 10km route.
As part of the safe cycling initiative, the strict “No Helmet No Ride” rule will apply to all cyclists (and that includes Mum and Dad).
“To ensure maximum enjoyment for all riders, online entries are limited to 2 500 riders,” advised Adri Bootsma, Marketing, PR and Media Manager for the Cape Town Cycle Tour Trust. “Parking is limited and so, in line with our environmental policy and to avoid traffic congestion, we suggest that people car pool when travelling to the event.”
Registration will take place between 2 and 9 March 2012 at the Canal Walk Shopping Centre. For more information visit www.juniortour.co.za.
